This style of door lock is just the worst. I want to hang my arm out the window, dammit.

I see a post of “types of door locks” coming in the future.

By far the worst ones are the one used by Ford of Brazil where the door handles push in automatically when you go over 10 km/h and you feel like there is no way to get out. It wasn’t helping the fact that I was in the back seat and the child locks were on so I spend a few desperate seconds trying to get the door to open.

But like literally any car made after 1990 the door unlocks itself when you pull on the handle.

That’s why I like the ones in the V50. They recess completely into the door when the car is locked, and unlock with one pull of the handle. Two pulls to open the door if the car is locked, which is confusing at first but I quickly got used to it.
